Northern Virginia Community College brings community-college students into the project’s research. Each summer, four NVCC students join GWU as research interns, working side by side with graduate students on cyberattacks and defenses for the drone software stack, from MAVLink command-and-control link security to a UAS Traffic Management monitoring dashboard. The interns present their work at the project’s annual review meeting. NVCC’s site PI is Kwabena Konadu.

GridEye UTM monitor

A walkthrough of GridEye, the read-only traffic-management dashboard built by NVCC interns. It tracks a 12-drone delivery fleet over simulated Frisco, Texas, and flags flight-boundary, no-fly-zone, and altitude violations.
